ResCura Tactical Field — military olive kit for prolonged field care in last-mile defence operations

ResCura · Configuration 03

ResCura
Tactical · Field

Drone-portable, drone-delivered. Last-mile prolonged field care for the most denied environments. Built on the DEFRA-funded AEGIS R&D programme, validated for contested-zone operations.

In LSCO, the chain
breaks at the front.

In Large-Scale Combat Operations and other denied environments, getting medical logistics to the patient is the single hardest problem in tactical medicine today. Terrain, weather, drone saturation, contested airspace, EW jamming, destroyed roads — any one of these alone breaks MEDEVAC. LSCO combines all of them. Evacuation times balloon to 24 hours and more. Lifesaving interventions delivered too late do not improve survival. Blood needs to be administered within 30 minutes. ResCura Tactical · Field is the kit purpose-built to win that race.

01

Drone-Delivered

Form factor and weight distribution optimised for fixed-wing and rotary drone carriage. Air-droppable. Compatible with logistics drones already in operational use across NATO partner forces. Last-mile delivery to the Point of Injury when ground routes are denied.

02

Mission-Tailored Consumables

Because the kit is drone-deliverable, contents are tailored per casualty. Freeze-dried plasma for haemorrhage. FAST IO for vascular access. Decompression needles. Advanced airway. The medic at command configures the kit based on the CASEVAC report received from the POI — the right kit, for this patient.

03

EW-Resistant · 100% Offline

EW capability means telemedicine isn't always possible. Every guided protocol runs 100% on-device — no internet, no GPS, no command uplink required. All structured protocols, in multiple languages, walk the aid provider step-by-step through the procedures even when comms are jammed for hours.

Live
Telemedicine.

When the uplink survives, a medic, nurse or physician at the rear can guide the aid provider through interventions in real time. Live vitals stream from the kit. Bidirectional video runs through the integrated camera. The aid provider sees the procedure to follow; the medic sees what the aid provider sees — and intervenes when needed.

HR

Live Vitals Stream

Real-time transmission of patient vitals to the supervising medic: heart rate (HR), respiratory rate (RR), blood pressure (BP), oxygen saturation (SpO2). The medic at command monitors trends and titrates interventions live.

2-Way

Bidirectional Video

The integrated camera in the kit lid gives the medic a live view of the casualty, the wound, and the aid provider's actions. Voice channel runs alongside. The medic can see, hear, and verbally guide — a step beyond static decision-support tooling.

Fallback

Graceful Degradation

If the link drops mid-intervention — EW activates, drone interferes with signal, terrain blocks LOS — the kit falls back instantly to the offline guided protocol, with the medic's last instructions cached. No single point of failure.

Status · Under Active R&D

The telemedicine layer is currently being developed under the AEGIS R&D programme (DEFRA ref. 574854) in consortium with VITO and NCS Systems. Full availability is on the post-2026 roadmap for ResCura Tactical · Field. The hardware platform — touchscreen, integrated camera, 4G/LTE-M radio — is ready today. Defence procurement partners interested in early-adopter trials are invited to request a briefing.

Built for
drone resupply chains.

ResCura Tactical · Field is engineered around the drone resupply chain — not retrofitted to it. Form factor, weight, and payload mounting integrate with the autonomous logistics drones already used by NATO partner forces for far-forward resupply.

A medic at the rear configures the right kit for the right casualty, loads protocols, and the drone takes off. The aid provider at the POI receives a kit tailored to their patient — including freeze-dried plasma if the report calls for it.

From Research to Operational Reality

ResCura Tactical · Field is the productisation of AEGIS — the Advanced Medical Guidance & Integration System — developed under the DEFRA programme in consortium with VITO and NCS Systems. The pre-proposal evaluation graded "good to excellent". The full proposal was submitted in May 2026; final selection 14 September 2026. ResCura Tactical · Field is the first commercial output of that research.

For the Sharpest Edge

ResCura Tactical · Field is built for the units operating where PFC is unavoidable.

✦

Special Operations

Small-team operations in contested or denied terrain. Casualty extraction times measured in hours, not minutes. ResCura Tactical · Field keeps haemorrhage controlled, airway managed, and casualty viable until evacuation becomes feasible.
